Evaheld

A startup with two goals, the primary service is to give users a platform to safekeep messages and send them to loved ones posthumously.

The second venture, called Evaheld Memorials, an early stage concept that provides people a platform to create digital memorials that can be published and shared with family, friends and/or the public.

As an intern, I was tasked with creating designs for Evaheld Memorials. This included website, mobile, dashboard and editor designs.

Competitors

A survey was conducted to understand how users felt about the current service of online computer stores. The results showed that majority of users find that most services provided are frustrating to use.

Competitor 1

Pros

Provides a tutorial for the user through small tooltips, also shows the amount of steps and an option to close it.
No login, users can instantly start creating content

Cons

Utilizes deceptive tactics as an attempt to get users to pay for their services
Only contains three sections, limiting the type and amount of content a user can add.

Competitor 2

Pros

Easy to understand interface, very minimal and doesn’t require a guided tutorial for the average user
No dashboard, takes the user straight to an editor

Cons

Unable to share or allow other users to view your content, making it impossible to share with family or friends
Looks very formal, doesn’t seem very inviting or personal

Evaheld primarily uses vibrant purple colors with an orange accent for their main product.

For Evaheld Memorials, I wanted to stick with the purple theme but I decided to go for a more muted and monochromatic color palette.

Due to limitations of prototyping the Editor in Adobe XD for this project, I translated the designs into Bubble.io to highlight the functionalities of certain elements. This allowed me to convey my ideas effectively to developers, ensuring they had a clearer understanding of what was required. On request, I can provide my work of the prototype on Bubble.io.

What Next

I would like to learn more about no code solutions. After using Bubble.io, I feel compelled to explore these tools as they would be a useful for future projects.

I want to continue my journey, learning more as a designer. Although I didn’t get the opportunity to work on the same project with other designers, their work ethic and thought processes for approaching designs inspires me to push harder.
